Neighborhood Groups
Yelm Terra has several Neighborhood Groups that have numerous activities going on at any one time. None of the Neighborhood Group activities are paid for with Yelm Terra Home Owner Dues.. they are all funded by donated dollars within the groups themselves.
It’s pretty neat and fun to get involved with these activities. In the past, the activities have included BBQ’s, Block Parties, Welcoming Committees to new homeowners, Neighborhood Clean-Up days amongst other things.
The activities are meant to get us all together – so we “know” our neighbors and can help keep our neighborhood friendly, safe and clean.
Community Connection Committee (CCC)
The ‘CCC’, was started in an effort to encourage neighborhood connection through resident involvement. We want to plan and organize a variety of events and activities in hopes of appealing to everyone’s likes and interests, and we encourage & welcome any of you to share your own ideas with us.
It is important as residents for you to know your HOA dollars are not being used to fund these activities/events. The events are being put together strictly through volunteer efforts either by donations of time, money or supplies. While our committee is very excited and focused on planning many things for the development, we will look to our residents to assist in the success of those plans. We will do our best to communicate any plans and needs to you in order to give you an opportunity for involvement where you feel most comfortable helping.
Other areas we are working on, and accepting ideas for are the following:
- Welcoming New Residents
- Neighborhood Crime Watch (Coming Soon)
- Military Family Support & other YT families in need
- Ex. lawn care needs, etc.
- Seasonal Events
- Ex. Best Christmas Décor, Best Lawn, Easter Parade & Egg Hunt
- Special Announcements
- Ex. Newest Yelm Terra Resident – Birth Announcements
- Miscellaneous Social Get-togethers
- Ex. Neighborhood Bunko Group
The possibilities are endless! Yelm Terra continues to grow and change, and this is where we could use your input – we are open to all ideas. If anyone is interested in being a part of this committee, please contact us.
